Spring (shoulder)
March–May
Good for Cinquantenaire Park in bloom and terrace lunches on the Place du Grand Sablon without competing for a table; late April into May is the sweet spot before school-holiday crowds arrive.
Summer (peak)
June–August
Best for long evenings on the Grand Place and the biennial Flower Carpet, but EU-district hotels fill with conference traffic and August itself goes quiet as locals leave for holiday, which can mean shuttered neighbourhood restaurants.
